    Hey, I just rediscovered a burn scar I got when I was a toddler! Thought it had finally faded, but there I was, scratching my shoulder, and bam! Old, familiar scar tissue. It was just obscured by body hair all along.

            @toksyuryel Wow, that sounds way more fun than mine. My dad hit me with a baseball bat. It was actually largely my fault, I was standing right behind him while he was showing me how to swing for the ball, but yeah. Family was supposed to go out for breakfast, too, but no.... My dumb 7-year-old self had to goto the emergency room.

              @slenderscribus There was quite a lot of blood but interestingly enough no pain. This helped me stay calm and rational enough to get help immediately. Had to get stitches for it, and it wasn't too long after that my vision began to deteriorate. I see it as the likely cause for my vision problems but of course there's really no way to know for sure.

        @minti Oh, yeah, I've got cat scars, too. One on the inside of my left middle finger from (failing at) helping to give a kitten a bath. And two across the top of my left foot from coming around a corner and stepping over a cat and startling it so it ran away back over my foot.

          @slenderscribus I was about eight and trying to split a big block of solid chocolate I'd gotten for easter into smaller pieces and didn't think it through all that well... at the time, holding it as I jammed the knife through it seemed like a good idea.

            @colfax I got one of those once. I froze it and beat it with a hammer. I was like 15 or 16 at the time, though. Also, I was previously chipping at it with a knife until my parents suggested a non-sharp alternative. So I guess I really lucked out.
