@shadowdash454 Done.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:00:49 UTC from web-
@minti xD Windows is still alot slower then when Ubuntu reboots xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:02:07 UTC from web-
@shadowdash454 I know right. xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:02:16 UTC from web-
@minti are you using Ubuntu or something else?
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:03:14 UTC from web-
@shadowdash454 Ironically, I'm using Mint. xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:04:04 UTC from web-
@minti Which for all purposes is basically Ubuntu without Unity
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:04:33 UTC from web -
@minti "Ubuntu without Cannonical's crap" is how my boss likes to refer to it.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:06:10 UTC from web -
@minti Nice! fits your name xD but I'm using Ultimate edition which a Unity turned off my default and it uses Cinnamon
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:06:24 UTC from web-
@shadowdash454 I tried Cinnamon, didn't like it much so I switched back to Mate xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:07:12 UTC from web-
@minti I have never tried Mate but I guess I can at one point xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:08:22 UTC from web-
@shadowdash454 It's a fork of Gnome2 apparently so. xD

@minti The only thing I disliked about Cinnamon was that I couldn't get it to run on my machine. XD

@widget Cause it's loading all the fonts. I kid you not, you install word and suddenly 5 minutes added to your boot time.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:05:14 UTC from web -
@widget Mate.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:05:37 UTC from web -
@widget It's stupid, but true. xD Windows keeps all your fonts loaded into memory while it's on.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:06:58 UTC from web-
@minti Windows y you do that xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:07:29 UTC from web -
@minti So if you have a lot of fonts, it affects boot time and memory usage by the OS xD

@widget rebranded G2? thats sounds kinda like it could broke some things I have set up xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:10:01 UTC from web -
@widget Changing Program names is not welcomed lol
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:13:54 UTC from web -
@widget You know, GNOME3 doesn't have that issue hides
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:14:42 UTC from web -
@widget Can't you symlink the old name to the new one?

@widget GNOME3 is actually pretty decent if you can ignore the fact that it likes to crash every now and then, but slightly less often than KDE4. I honestly enjoy using it.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:16:51 UTC from web-
@omni I tried Gnome3, first thing I noticed was you could barely change anything. :( I removed it.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:18:01 UTC from web-
@minti Having more settings available without gnome-tweak-tool would dramatically improve GNOME3, I agree there.

@widget Well to be fair, if you installed a distro then changed the desktop environment I'd pretty sure that doesn't count as "normal" XD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:17:16 UTC from web -
@widget Applets? Pfff, applets are so 20Java.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:18:12 UTC from web -
@widget True, but again if you had scripts you made yourself that point to gnome-terminal rather than mate-terminal. xD
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:19:14 UTC from web -
@widget But yeah I see your point too. :p
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:20:56 UTC from web -
@widget I always hated this whole panel stuff on GNOME2, it caused quite an un-streamlined user experience. But hey, to each their own. It's Linux, after all, so we choose what we want :P
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:21:22 UTC from web-
@omni Yeah but Unity in Gnome3 is not very good for Desktops
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:22:47 UTC from web-
@shadowdash454 Still better than Windows 8. Also, even though Unity is based on GNOME3, I'm actually using GNOME3 when I say GNOME3, not Unity.
Wednesday, 03-Oct-12 17:23:54 UTC from web-
@omni Yeah I like Gnome 3 better with Unity turned off expect it crashes sometimes
