  1. Like I said, the best possible outcome would be for S3 to be bad, so the fandom shrinks and we can ditch a lot of the accumulated "bad people", and for S4 to be back up to S1's standard, letting us rebuild the fandom sans the mistakes of the past. The scratch, essentially. Unfortunately the odds of those things happening in that order are vanishingly small, as S4 still isn't confirmed to even exist, let alone be /good/, so the best we can hope for is that S3 is a rousing sendoff for our beloved characters.

    1. @ceruleanspark Would a bad season just invite people with bad taste?

      1. @thelastgherkin Despite what certain individuals have to say on the subject, "people like me" aren't the cause of the increasing toxicity of the fandom. To me, it seems like a lot of the problems stem from the outsiders seeing the fandom as their "shot at fame" and openly hurting the good people who're here to get to that goal.

        1. @ceruleanspark Man that doesn't at all answer my question.

        2. @ceruleanspark As much as I hate the pessimism, I kinda have to agree. Reading comments on stuff it shows we could do with a little housekeeping.

          1. @eaglehooves By all accounts, the homestuck fandom is "On the up", given the amount of media attention it's getting lately, so I suspect a lot of the "I'll get famous off of bronies" crowd will jump ship to that fandom instead. These people are not interested in us, or our ideals, they just want money and attention, which they can get anywhere.

            1. @ceruleanspark Between homestuck, gravity falls, and adventure time, the wanna-bes will find other fandoms to exploit.

              1. @colfax My "investment advice" for shady characters looking to exploit genuine fans for a quick buck would be: Homestuck. Knockoff scalemate plushies, 3D printed figures from the Garys Mod playset, Troll Horns for cosplay. Stuff that'll send Hussie's notoriously aggressive girlfriend into apoplexy.

                1. @ceruleanspark No idea who that is but I do like the idea of someone deserving having an apoplectic seizure.

                  1. @colfax She's infamous for frothy mouthedly threatening to sue fans for making fanstuff, even if it's not for sale.

    2. @thatonestocking http://www.mspaintadventures.com/salesfaq.html Apparently you can't commission anything with more than two dimensions if it's homestuck based.
