    1. @unhipdruid Pirates are free.

      1. @gladosenchilada DO WHAT YOU WANT CAUSE A PI- **smacked**

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 20:22:14 UTC from web
      2. @gladosenchilada Indeed, they can do what they want for precisely that reason.

        1. @thelastgherkin As long as they accept the Terms & Conditions while installing the software they pirated.

        2. @thelastgherkin Engaging in the act of piracy is most satisfactory for me.

          1. @gladosenchilada yea, well the companies get so many people buying rhe stuff, so it doesnt bother me to pirate stuff...

            1. @unhipdruid For me is not about how much it hurts them, as much as it is "That's overpriced/I won't use your restrictive platform and DRMs"

              1. @gladosenchilada "I won't use your restrictive platform" is exactly what I said to Microsoft :P

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 20:26:59 UTC from web
                1. @omni Microsoft is not nearly as restrictive as Steam, for example.

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 20:28:21 UTC from web
                  1. @gladosenchilada Steam isn't really restrictive in a bad way. You need to log into Steam to play games, yeah. In return you get their online services.

                    1. @redenchilada It's built in into your games. I have no internet at home ATM, and as such I can't touch any Steam games. For me that's more than enough to classify it as crap. Not going to explain my views on this again, I did it enough times already.

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 20:31:05 UTC from web
                      1. @gladosenchilada That is an issue, yeah. Offline mode doesn't seem to work real well at the moment, and it should be a higher priority than it is.

                        1. @redenchilada I should crack Amnesia. Screw online.

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 20:32:53 UTC from web
                      2. @gladosenchilada This is why I despise DRM and complete restrictions of that nature.

                        1. @rainbowhurricane Install cracks.

                  2. @gladosenchilada I find Microsoft's platform to be much more restrictive. I've ran into situations where, even as admin, I can't remove files or am not allowed to change settings. Like, what is that nonsense? I am the administrator! At least Linux allows me to remove all important system files if I want to.

                    1. @omni There's patches for that.

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 20:31:31 UTC from web
                      1. @gladosenchilada Tonight, I'm probably going to have a nightmare about finding such a patch but Windows not allowing me to install it. Thank you for that.

    4. @unhipdruid The last Windows-to-Linux switcher I heard complain was crying about how much Linux sucks because he couldn't install Internet Explorer by double clicking the iexplore.exe file he downloaded using Firefox. I haven't had the urge to slap someone that badly in a long time.

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 20:22:18 UTC from web
