          1. @mushi They have a demo? I didn't see one on PSN when I looked. :(

            1. @redenchilada at least on XBL, i dont know on PSN because i find PS3's menus cunfusing

              1. @mushi I should give it a second look. :c And the Steam shop, while I'm there.

              2. @mushi ps3 menu is easy to navigate because it's not burdened with thousands of advertisements. You just scroll to which menu you want and then scroll down through options. It's like an organized windows Start button, but without the counter-intuitive windows nonsense

                1. @thehighlander yes, but i already know the way through the ads, and i have a ps3 for less than a week

                  1. @mushi yeah but it mangoeses me off whe I try to go do something on my friend's 360 and I can't tell what's a function and what's a stupid advertisement aimed towards the college bros. Thankfully, the DVD automatically started which allowed me to avoid having to deal with microsoft's game-playing marketing kit

                    1. @thehighlander yes, my problems with ps3 is that i have it for 3 or 4 days, so i havent momorized the thingsyet

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:24:40 UTC from web
                      1. @mushi I don't have it memorized and I've owned it for years. It's just if I need to adjust/fix something on the system, I can navigate it properly as long as I know the nature of what I want to do. If it's elated to monitor settings, I can pinpoint where exactly I need to go in the menu in moments

                        1. @thehighlander RELATED not elated lol

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:29:25 UTC from web
                        2. @thehighlander well, maybe when i turn that on again, i can know how to procede with that menu

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:30:11 UTC from web
                2. @thehighlander I never found the Windows Start menu organised because companies always put stuff in folders of their company name. Like, I'm looking for Firefox. I mean, I know who Mozilla are but I would have to check EVERY SINGLE ENTRY to find it if I wouldn't :(

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:20:55 UTC from web
                  1. @omni You do realize that you can rename files and folders in windows, don't you?

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:22:00 UTC from web
                  2. @omni That's more the fault of the companies putting things there than anyone else.

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:22:08 UTC from web
                    1. @redenchilada Mostly, yes, but the start menu could've forced a better organisation. For example, KDE's start menu forced software in categories based on the program name, never mentioning the company. GNOME2, Xfce and LXDE do the same and GNOME3 just shows a complete list of all programs with their icons without any menu.

                      1. @omni But I thought forcing things was bad convention in operating systems...? :|

                        1. @redenchilada There is a line, of course, but there are things that are allowed. Like that, for example. And even then, if you don't think an interface should be allowed that you can use another one under Linux :P

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:27:54 UTC from web
                  3. @omni I'm talking about on the start menu you have browsing category sections like "my computer" "control panel" "documents" etc. I know what you mean though; specifically with windows if there's a handful of programs you use you better make desktop shortcuts or else you'll be going nuts

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:25:56 UTC from web
                    1. @thehighlander 1) Press the Windows key. 2) Start typing the name of the program you wish to use. 3) Profit!

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:27:10 UTC from web
                      1. @redenchilada That thing NEVER found the program I'd look for. I would type the program name and it would give me a silly .txt file it found instead. Like, GAH! ALL OF MY ANGER!

                          1. @redenchilada I am literally speechless. It's like someone at Microsoft literally hates me and knows a way to link Windows copies to me and make it do all kinds of stupid wacky stuff just so I hate it even more.

Sunday, 04-Nov-12 23:32:06 UTC from web
                            1. @omni ...You were typing the program name as it appeared in the Start menu, right? I dunno, man, maybe you're just cursed.

                              1. @redenchilada I was! I swear, I am using Windows EXACTLY THE SAME as everyone else but for some reason IT JUST HATES ME! WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS CRUEL AGONY!

                                      1. @caberea I noticed she was lying face-down on my computer. That may have explained the bad luck from this week.
