@widget My teacher will measure the point sizes to make sure we're not cheating.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to reach the length requirement for this paper but then I remembered to double-space and now I'm safely within the length range.
-
@widget Heh, never thought of doing that before, would that really make the page look longer?
-
@redenchilada ooor... you could simply create or download a font that is exactly the same as the one you have to use except that the space between the letters is slightly larger.
-
@techdisk If you have time to create a font, you have time to add a few sentences.
-
@techdisk But if that font isn't on the machine receiving the document then it would load a default non-cheating font.
-
@techdisk Let me guess, has to be a certain font too, right?
-
@techdisk No, trust me. My teacher can measue these things.
-
@scribus im talking cases of non electronic submission.
-
@techdisk Ah, then in that case you can typically just adjust letter spacing in the format settings.
-
@redenchilada the letters would match exactly. The spacing would be, say, one pixel larger.
-
@techdisk I am not kidding you, my teacher measures these things with rulers specifically designed for the task.
-
@redenchilada ... wow.
-
@redenchilada any teacher who cares more about the width of the text than the content should not be a teacher.
-
@techdisk welcome to modern schooling, pal
-
@techdisk Dude, if you have to cheat to fit something in the length, you're not writing a good paper anyway so there's no point.
-
@redenchilada i never do that anyway. Not worth it in any way even if i was not caught.
