  1. Man I need to get back in classes. Lack of a degree means not much in the way of jobs.

    1. @xeleanorxrigbyx I feel you. I need to take some gr12 courses because I decided to change my career

      1. @renovatedkitchen I have about a year and a half of college under my belt and then I left the state. I've been trying to pay the loans but I can't wait 5 years to go back. Call center work is literally crushing my spirit.

        1. @xeleanorxrigbyx ouch :/ debt is a really crummy thing. What was your intended career path?

Tuesday, 13-Nov-12 18:18:20 UTC from MuSTArDroid
          1. @renovatedkitchen Originally Marine Bio. Then I decided I suck at chem and bio classes so Psychology. Now I'm either debating auto mechanic or graphic design. Complete 180.

            1. @xeleanorxrigbyx I went from marine biology to auto mechanics to pilot. I can do good in biology but it needs effort. I love scuba diving and decided maybe it should just be a hobby rather than a career. Auto mechanics was alright. It's a really strange world out there. I dislike working with rusted bolts and working on a tight schedule. I never knew I could be a pilot. It just seemed like one of those things that was only meant for some people. But after reading more and more about it I figured that I really did fit the profile of a fighter pilot. Graphic design sounds pretty cool. Designing new things is always fun. Graphic design for an auto manufacturer?

              1. @renovatedkitchen I never thought of that. And high five for scuba diving. I used to do that when I lived in FL. I moved to OK and there's not much for that here. :(

                1. @xeleanorxrigbyx scuba diving is awesome. High five. I haven't done it in a long while. I need someone to kick me in the arse to go ice diving. It looks fun

                  1. @renovatedkitchen Ice diving? Yikes, sounds cold as all get out. And kind of scary. >.>

                    1. @xeleanorxrigbyx Mhm. Drill a hole in the ice, tie a rope to yourself and jump in ^_^. Thing is I only have a 7mm wetsuit with a vest+hood. My combo is rumored to be decent for ice diving, but dry suits are much too expensive.

                      1. @renovatedkitchen You sir are braver than I. Like my dad wanting to do cave diving. Nooooo thanks.

                        1. @xeleanorxrigbyx ah. I wish I could go cave diving. No caves here though :(. Then again, I still need to convince someone to go ice diving with me. My friends all complain that it's too cold

                          1. @renovatedkitchen I have a fear of drowning, and being surrounded by walls that could prevent me from reaching the surface if something happens is a complete nope.

                            1. @xeleanorxrigbyx Genetically modify your body to grow gills. Drowning problem solved!

                            2. @xeleanorxrigbyx sorry to hear :( I sorta have the same fear. One time me and friends wanted to see who could swim deepest (no scuba gear). I kept going down till I was absolutely freezing from the depth. Could barely see the surface, and that's when I noticed I was out of air. I manage to calm myself and go stay focused when under extreme situations. Otherwise it's just clumsy me. Was pretty lucky. Sometimes I like doing things that I know I fear just to prove to myself I can do them. I hate cliff jumping though. :/

                              1. @renovatedkitchen I wouldn't be able to calm myself. I'd freak out. I don't even like being in pools where I can't touch the bottom. Scuba is okay... I have a tank of dang air on my back.

Tuesday, 13-Nov-12 18:57:57 UTC from web
                                1. @xeleanorxrigbyx well, like I say there's two sides to me. One that sits at home, doesn't like change and just putts along with life doing nothing dangerous and the second half is the better side. Not dangerous, but well, just very connected and able to do anything.

                                2. @xeleanorxrigbyx sorry to hear though :( # its always nice to have reassurance in those freak out moments we all have.

                                  1. @renovatedkitchen It's okay. Scuba is worth it. That and roller coasters are my "thrills". Possibly sky diving in the future (though they will have to push me out of the plane.)

Tuesday, 13-Nov-12 19:06:06 UTC from web
                                    1. @xeleanorxrigbyx I'm dead scared of roller coasters :c. They are my weakness. If I went skydiving they would probably have to push me out too.

                                      1. @renovatedkitchen That's probably the one thing I actively seek to one up. I used to live near Cedar Point, and they've got some goooood stuff. I move to OK and it's underwhelming.

                                          1. @renovatedkitchen Somewhere between the Top Thrill Dragster and the Millennium Force. Millennium is the best one. :D

                                                    2. @colfax why does it have to be checkered, why not chess?

                                            2. @colfax it's always the fault of a disgruntled employee, but honestly who can blame them? I would do it too if i was disgruntled.
