Ever notice how when you're moving, the boxes start with a theme? "Kitchen." "Bathroom." "Blankets." Slowly, they degenerate. "Shoes & misc." By the day you're out, half the boxes are almost labeled "God knows what," or "I'd forgotten I even owned this." Or is it just me? 0.0

@scribusarcanum MMmm... when my friends move, it's that. Mine were: 18 Dreamcast CDs, 79 Data CDs, 3 DC controllers; 43 Paperbacks; art supplies. Granted, I had to cross a border, list everything I was bringing, and there was a chance they'd want to take a look at anything I was bringing. Oh, and the weights of the boxes were marked too, both for friends helping shift them and to balance the container load.

@artrageous Dude. You are awesome. If I had to worry about customs or inspections, I think I'd just sell everything.

@scribusarcanum Heh, thanks, it wasn't pleasant preparing but the inspecting agents were impressed at how well everything was organized, so, a win. Added advantage is being able to find something without unpacking everything. It was definitely an experience in letting go. Most of my remaining possessions are books, art, music, clothes, and a couple stuffed toys.

@artrageous Ah, yes. Letting go. I seem to do that twice every time I move. Once packing, once unpacking. This time I really need to make it stick. Also, find somewhere I won't have to move from for a while.

@kingcarcinopony That's a bit far from my work. =/ I don't know if my van would handle that commute.

@scribusarcanum Somewhere in my storage unit there is a large box, packed solid with nothing but comic books, which I labeled "Multiple Universes"
-
@colfax That almost makes me want to get a storage unit, default on it, and see if it ends up on that auction show.
