Well, looks like I've found something more concrete to complain about wrt the new youtube layout aside from "it's not centered": there no longer appears to be a way to browse the other videos a user has uploaded on the same page as one of their videos. As far as I can tell you now have to go to their channel page and browse their uploads there.

@toksyuryel apart from a new awesome design, it still works the same for me... they have just broken the XBMC Plugin commpatability untill someone fixes it..

@toksyuryel That is genuinely something I dislike. Since they seem to have a sidebar for browsing your subscriptions while watching a video, they should have added a section for browsing user videos there or something.

@thelastgherkin It only appears if you get to the video from the user's channel. If you get to the video from a search result, from the endscreen of another video, or from just going directly to the video, it will not appear.

@thelastgherkin Sites usually have vastly different layouts depending on whether or not you are on mobile.
