@purplephish20 He does this every year, but he's probably got a bunch of searches running for high priced items like "iPhone" and "Macbook" and he's just picking out the whiners.

@unhipdruid The way how it forces you to use iTunes because you can't manage most files on the device using your file manager of choice. As someone who cannot (and doesn't want to) use iTunes, it makes the device practically useless for me. I have more reasons to prefer Android, but that really is one of the things which make me not want to use the device at all.

@omni even though it has just changed and everything is in a different place now, id rather use iTunes than anything else really. it works, never had an issue with limitations...

@unhipdruid If you use it to manage your music, make backups. I spent hours trying to fix the mess iTunes caused once :P

@omni one dislike, itunes backs up to your C: so it dumps my iPhone onto my SSD... but meh, i just back up and sync to iCloud anyway..

@omni exactly, i have the limited knowledge that /dev/sda*insert number here* were drives, what does it mean though? is dev device? whats sda?

@unhipdruid dev means device. sda probably means something like "storage device a", and the number corresponds to the partition number.

@omni I seem to recall it's actually "SCSI Device <letter>" for historical reasons, but yeah.

@omni I think it's SATA device A, as systems using IDE devices use HDA.

@ceruleanspark hmm, SCSI is a little limited now, its for Enterprise level servers and RAID arrays isnt it?

@unhipdruid According to the article it's just called that because it uses the SCSI driver for a bunch of other things, including SATA, USB and Firewire, rather than having any actual relevance to the standard itself.
