Have any of you guys read Background Pony? I've got a friend telling me to read it but I'm not going to read 400,000 words on one guy's suggestion.

@redenchilada If I'm going to invest 400,000 words worth of reading into anything, it'll be the Wheel of Time or the Dresden Files.

@scribus I read one fic of 40k words in one sitting once. That's the most I've ever read at once. At least, I think it is.

@redenchilada I read Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" in one go, that's probably my single-sitting record. But I read 12 Dresden Files novels in a month to distract myself from the depression of my last breakup, so that'll probably be one hell of an average or something? I dunno what I'm trying to say anymore.

@scribus Well, as far as real books... I don't usually read those too much at a time. I remember getting through all but about ten pages of the third Harry Potter book in one day, as a kid, but otherwise I'm not the most dedicated reader.
