@thelastgherkin: I don't know how well I take to assuming they all just became friends at the start, Since AJ was aware of Pinkie Sense and all. Though it is clearly where Twilight's just making these friends. Hrm.

@retl Well Pinkie does know everypony, and I mean everypony, in Ponyville! It's not unheard of that she and Applejack could be friends. It's just when Twilight ties the whole group together that they actually have hangouts.

@thelastgherkin: I still haven't figured out how Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy can be friends by any other link than Gummy.

@retl As far as I'm concerned, the only pre-existing tie before the series were Dash and Fluttershy growing up together in Cloudsdale. Pinkie only met Fluttershy when they were assigned to the council to organise the Summer Sun Celebration?

@thelastgherkin That or Rainbow Dash went out of her way to hang out with non-ponies when she was at flight camp, because the other ponies were bullying her.

@starshine I wouldn't be too surprised if so. I mean what if she accidentally caused time-travel and in the process her coat become white, and her mane a different shade of Pink? What if sideeffects of timetravel gave her a horn due to the amount of magical influence provoked? What if Pinkie lost her memories and used her memories of an Equestria to create the Equestria we know it as it stands, taking on the new name Celestia?

@thelastgherkin That's pretty cool. I see what you mean about some of them apparently being out of order. It occurred to me while watching. I was thinking though that it might represent a couple years, although if the Gala is an annual event, that does somewhat require everything to happen in one year. Also... I thought Winter Wrap up might come earlier, because it represents Twilight's unfamiliarity with her friends, and her abilities.

@artrageous That's entirely possible. Really, most of the episodes could take place after Winter Wrap Up, but that's tentatively when I'm putting series two.
