                @colfax According to my father it's not a 45, but it's a gun of the last 20 years with a handle modification used on old 45s for protection when shooting.

      @thatonestocking Hip-shooting a .45 is stupid, yeah, but at <10m you can just aim by instinct. I can and I'm no great shooter. If we're going dumb you could get a modified barrel with a recoil dampener (I don't know how you would fit it in the pistol, but that doesn't matter)

        @nerthos Add lots of loud noisemakers and other things that add weight and make it hard to handle (disclaimer: I know nothing about how guns work beyond "pull trigger, bullet comes out")
