>Bronies cure Aspergers. Yeah y'know what reddit? I'm done. Just. Done.
-
@ceruleanspark It's all in the documentary, man.
-
@ceruleanspark TO CURE ASPERGERS YOU MUST EAT THE DRY HEART OF A NON-VIRGIN BRONY
-
@anarchycarcino Apparently so.
-
@ceruleanspark Don't blame reddit. That was in the documentary.
-
@thelastgherkin Man. I have aspergers and this fandom has done nothing to cure me. Do I need to write to John De Lancie or Lauren Faust for a refund on my admission?
RDN's Lucifer likes this. -
@ceruleanspark Yep. Another interviewee was worried about "catch[ing] the gay", so I guess I'd better get a slice of that action.
-
-
@ceruleanspark It all depends on what friends you meet. Surely acquaintanced unclose friends wouldn't help an aspie, but you need support both professionally and from the fandom for maximum results. Just the fandom doesn't help in the long run.
-
@thelastgherkin They could just take some Gay Away if they're so worried. http://ur1.ca/cldole
-
@nerthos God damn it word filter. http://ur1.ca/clfav
-
@nerthos Your url got censored.
-
@thelastgherkin Yeah, I know. It's kind of funny since I uploaded directly to the site.
-
@ceruleanspark I beg to differ. Like I said earlier, it's a good combination of professional and fandom support that goes the extra mile. I myself am an Aspie and I found people in both furry and brony fandoms that are willing to help me or be on my side.
-
@nerthos How do they even make it that flavour
-
@thelastgherkin I don't even know. Maybe they rub it. Artificial flavouring can do marvels. You should ask the good doctor. He looks really professional with that crown. He must be king of something.
-
@jackzhang I've found people who're friendly and supportive, but that doesn't make me any more neurotypical. It just makes it easier to be "different". Unless that's what you mean? You "feel" less aspergian because people make more of an effort (than the average NT) to understand you?
-
@ceruleanspark I have to question the use of the word "cure" here as it implies there is something inherently wrong about it. Whenever people talk about "curing" Aspergers it just comes across to me the same way as hearing someone talk about "curing" homosexuality.
-
@toksyuryel Yeah. A lot of aspergers people find the term "cure" offensive, but it's mostly thrown around by NT's who /only/ see it as a handicap and aren't really thinking about what they're saying. Given that my aspergers has, for better or for worse, helped define who I am right now, a cure would more or less literally be executing this iteration of me.
