I feel like a lot of new people here don't stick to the community because they're too focused to "hey guys talk to ME" when getting into a community involves talking to THEM first. Then once people know you you'll get more people commenting on things you post.

@redenchilada I agree. While I believe we should welcome newcomers, I generally ignore them if all they do is whine about how no one wants to talk to them. Unfortunately that may push them away from this site, but I guess it doesn't clog the feed.

@projectrainbowdash Imagine meat of some sort. Maybe chicken, maybe meat, or maybe nothing if you're a lame vegetarian. Now put that on a tortilla. Add some beans, some cheese, and some onions. Wrap the tortilla. Smother it in hot sauce and bake it. That's what an enchilada is like.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Exactly. I get that we could theoretically have more users if we talked to everyone non-stop when they joined, but then the actual conversation would get swept away under all the "hey how r u" "im fine hbu /)" "20% coolr lolo /)^3^(\" and the site would be terrible.

@redenchilada Wait, crap. ROLL UP the tortilla. Wrap implies you're covering it in plastic wrap or something. Unrolled enchiladas aren't real enchiladas.
