@brawnyspirit DAWN OF THE 2ND DAY, 48 HOURS REMAIN

@minti TBH, that game was right when I realized for an unarguable fact that the Zelda timeline had gone to hell. =/
-
@scribus Hahah yep
-
@minti I mean, I had suspicions at OoT, but it was still such a fantastically well-done masterpiece of interactive fiction that I let it slide, but MM? That sealed it. And everything after that was down-several-hills.
-
@scribus Sadly OoT and MM were the only two games where the placement for them made sense. I find the rest are just placed randomly in the timeline. :/
-
@minti Not counting the timelines within the games themselves, of course. xD

@minti Minti, GO TO BED

@minti For me, though, it started with the very first NES LOZ game, and 2 fit, then LTTP worked as a prequel to LOZ, and Awakening on the GB was fine as a "whenever it fits, other adventure or something" game. OoT kind of told a different "first time he meets Zelda" story, but like I said - it was so damn good, I forgave it its shaky timeline placement. But MM, I didn't have a single clue how it was supposed to make sense in the series. And after that, well... what is it, three forks suddenly? And some of the games I'd been working like hell to make into one timeline suddenly were on other streams? Link is a time lord, only thing that makes sense. Except he has anywhere from three to twenty hearts, so.... nevermind.
-
@scribus Baha yeah, I forgot about the originals. >_> Shows how amazing I am at remembering games.
-
@scribus 3 to 37, if you cheat.
-
@minti Well, hell, I got the first LoZ brand-spanking-new, back before I could reliably read, so.... yeah. :p
-
@nerthos For serious!? D:
-
@scribus Hah, I would have if I was around then probably. xD
-
@scribus Yes. In the n64 games, if you cheat to give yourself 20 hearts at the start, you have yet 17 hearts to collect.
-
@nerthos I didn't even know 20 hearts starts were a thing.
-
@scribus As I said, cheating.
-
@nerthos I didn't even know they were a cheat-thing.
-
@scribus Thigs like Gameshark.
-
@nerthos If you used a gameshark to do that, why wouldn't you just give yourself 255 hearts.
-
@nerthos Bah! Game Genie is the one true game enhancer!
-
@minti Because that's no fun.
-
@minti I'm pretty much immortal in those games with only 10 hearts, so it's just a matter of collecting them once they break the UI.
