    2. @rotation The comic con MLP poster and a potential vector of it has been one recurring topic today.

    3. @rotation Comic-Con posters at OUTRAGEOUS prices, @retl teaching how to argue more effectively, and of course, Twilight Sparkle's balloon.

            1. @thelastgherkin Ah... so, more questioning the level of intensity than of appropriateness of meaning.

              2. @thelastgherkin Ironically I used to be called Leon Kennedy online WAAYY back (like 2005 or so) but the K now actually stands for my real middle name.

    6. @rotation Vector images can be upscaled much bigger than the original size drawn in without getting even 1% blurry.

    7. @rotation more like an any-res image.

    8. @rotation I only just discovered the concept myself, because of the very discussion actually. But it seems to be making an image bigger somehow, but I could be wrong.

    9. @rotation vector graphics are made up of shapes rather than pixels so you can scale up indefinitely.

    10. @rotation You tell me, I don't know much about them myself, only learned about 'em today as I said.

    11. @rotation because it is made from mathematical vectors: lines with a length and direction.

      Friday, 22-Jul-11 16:31:09 UTC from MuSTArDroid
      1. About Vector graphics. They are called Vectors for the lines that are used that have values for length and direction. You see, the program saves the file using coordinates that represent the lines, rather than the lines themselves, and when resized, it redraws them all after calculating the new points. Then, it fills in the colors like a coloring book, producing a perfect image at any resolution.

    12. @rotation good question ^^;

      Friday, 22-Jul-11 16:31:54 UTC from web
    13. @rotation They're called vectors because MATHS. They are made of a number of points with relative distances towards each other, and thus can be sized up and down.
