@nerthos It happened agn! This time with the Nightmare Rarity villain that appeared in the comics. I didn't finish writing it, but I boarded out a story which reveals for the first time Nightmare Moon is its own entity separate from Luna, much like how DC comic heroes discovered Hal Jordan was possessed by an entity to become the evil Parallax. However, my story brought up questions concerning why the elements of harmony always did different things with whom they're used against. Nightmare Moon, not really gone, tricks Twilight into using the Elements against Luna in order to retain its original strength and possessing Twilight Sparkle

@nerthos then they're horridly wasting their resources. I can't enjoy the current comic story arc as much as I want to because what really made me like my own idea wasn't really Twilight Sparkle's insecurities (of trying to please Celestia) devolving into jealousy. Rather, the fact that Nightmare Moon's awareness of how the Elements work is WHY the entity didn't die when Luna was restored, and then it uses that knowledge to trick Twilight into thinking Luna is becoming Nightmare Moon again. The problem is, if I publish this story on Fimfic people will go "this is lame you copied the comic blaaargh!"
