  1. Would people use an official RDN Twitch channel if I set one and added all our frequent streamers to it?

    1. @ceruleansquawk I don't know what that is.

      1. @thatonestocking you don't know what Twitch.tv is?

        1. @ceruleansquawk Maybe? I'm gonna assume it's a streaming service.

          1. @thatonestocking it's for streaming vidya

    2. @apocalypserarity That's fine.

    3. @ceruleansquawk I believe Twitch has a teams API that's designed for putting streams together in one place like that.

    4. @ceruleansquawk Acually, would it be possible to set up an email listener that would post a notice when it gets a certain email, then set up an account to follow all our frequent streamers?

      1. @redenchilada I have no idea what you just said

Thursday, 25-Jul-13 18:04:39 UTC from web
        1. @ceruleansquawk ...Because Twitch emails you when someone you're following goes live. It'd be an easy way to advertise community streams on the timeline. What does the "official RDN twitch channel" idea plan to accomplish, anyway?

          1. @redenchilada Probably just an easy way to access when anybody on RDN streams instead of needing to memorize multiple names or something.

          2. @redenchilada Oh now I get it. Yeah. That could work. I've no idea how I'd build it, but yeah.

    5. @ceruleansquawk I didn't see this before but I would probably do this

    6. @ceruleansquawk Whoa what

Friday, 26-Jul-13 07:28:03 UTC from web
      1. @coffeecream @rarity I had this idea of having a centralised system for that. @redenchilada suggested a really good way of managing it too: To Follow all of RDN's "Official" streamers, and set up a bot that, when it recieves the "X has started streaming" email, posts a dash to the timeline for all to see.

        1. @ceruleansquawk so it wouldn't be just one channel?

Friday, 26-Jul-13 07:35:34 UTC from web
          1. @rarity Can you even have a one-channel-multiple-streamers setup on Twitch?

            1. @ceruleansquawk I've seen it done, but I don't know if they can all use the same stream key. Anyway, it'd probably be better to just set up a team page on Twitch/use the bot idea, in case two people are streaming at once.

            2. @ceruleansquawk You could theoretically pass the stream key around between them, and I think you can give multiple accounts access to visible channel settings (i.e. stream title, game being played).

        2. @ceruleansquawk You may have to add an # disclaimer if you guys make that bot. Because, well, you know us.
