  1. Some folks tried to boycott Chick-Fil-A. Joke's on them since their openness about their stance against gay marriage caused them to sell out their restaurants' stock of everything across the entire country due to people showing their gratitude. I haven't heard any one say that the Oreos people shouldn't have expressed their support of gay marriage with rainbow-stuffed cookies, but so many got angry at Chik-Fil-A

    1. @pony I'm sure any reports of them "selling out of everything" were fabricated.

      1. @redenchilada It could have just been across Utah then. I heard first hand accounts of everything being sold out except drinks. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/chick-fil-record-setting-sales-appreciation-day/story?id=16912978

          2. @ceruleanspark Idk when Texas became the most gay hating state. I lived there for a few years and people seemed pretty gay to me.

              1. @ceruleanspark You know, hating homosexuals is wrong, but hating homosexual-opposed is just as bad. Being a Christian, I am called a homophobe because some people who share my religion are... but I find the term "homophobe" offensive when it is used against Christianity, and especially when it is used against me.

                1. @dropsterdash Sorry, I had to put that out there because of the way chik-fil-a has been slandered because of their beliefs.

                3. @dropsterdash I have no problem with companies that express their owners' political views through products or statements. I also don't see opposition to gay marriage as gay hating, though I can understand why many see that opposition as a threat. Honestly, it's a matter of whether sexual morality has any place law. I feel it does.

                      1. @pony Yes, but can the legality of these sexual moralities make them right or wrong? Last I checked, it only has the power to make them legal/illegal. Laws are only made on the opinion of the people voting for them.

Thursday, 24-Oct-13 14:01:17 UTC from web
                        1. @dropsterdash You're right, but many infer something that's simply not true by that logic. Simply saying that laws aren't perfect or don't necessarily reflect right and wrong doesn't mean that they shouldn't strive for perfection and moral justification. We'll be held accountable for our effort or lack of effort to influence our communities and nations for good.

                          1. @pony I agree. I was simply saying that laws don't effect right/wrong, they simply reflect society's view of it.

                  2. @pony Well, I believe in "love the sinner hate the sin" which when truly implemented, works almost the same as "love and tolerate". My beliefs on what is right and wrong should have no effect on my behavior towards people. I should treat all people as I would want to be treated, gay or strait.
