@redenchilada I have. I've failed at the upgrade, driven out half the users and fostered a generally hostile atmosphere. You didn't need to refresh to see that though

@ceruleanspark The easiest way to stop "promoting hostility" is to crack down on hostility. Like. Pow pow, strongly-worded warning here, ban hammer there, get folks in line when they act up. Just judo suplex everything. And grape the haters. They always get mad when they get in trouble.

@ceruleanspark Maybe many are also laid back. Maybe for sanity's sake there need not be any bending over backwards to make certain users happy. I do like that the site is child friendly though, in any case. We've towed the line a bit lately, but I haven't noticed anything that was too much except maybe that one convo about a certain pony dating sim.

@ceruleanspark I'd say its more to do with the fact that this place has been around for 2 and a half years now. It's fair to say its not like it used to be. Not because of anything you've done, but just because change happens. People will probably leave because they're just bored of it all by now. As for the hostility, the way I see it, people have formed their cliques over their time here, then when they're happy with who they've got, they see much less reason to befriend others so they just sort of shoo them away. I'm not good at wording things but I hope you can see what I'm getting at here. Just thought I'd share how I view things. Also, I don't blame you for any problems with the site. When it comes down to it, you can destroy RDN at any given time but you choose not to because a significant number of people are happy with their relations here and you don't want to take that away from them. And I, and every other user, has to thank you for that.
