Net Neutrality is dying again guyz.

@ceruleanspark Oh boy.

@coffeecream See this is the issue with "Sky is falling" style campaigns. When every development is a massive world shattering crisis, people just stop caring. The human brain just can't support indefinitely sustained baseless fear.
-
@ceruleanspark Yeah pretty much. You know what would surprise me? If there WASN'T something 'massive' going on for just a moment. Like I care about net neutrality and global warming and everything but Jesus Christ I just want some time to enjoy life without governments and lobbyists and corporations trying to do /something/ to curb such and such technology or such and such right.

@coffeecream I think part of this sense of apathy (I think it's called compassion fatigue) stems from the fact that, for the average person, there's no actionable outcome to the issue. Nothing /you/ can do to prevent or escape it.
-
@ceruleanspark Exactly. Hey, you want to do something about X thing that affects everyone? You need to be in a very specific subset of rich people. Also American.
