I've been thinking. Thinking about cutie-marks. And one thing i've check out is that all ponnies got double-cutie-marks on botch flanks. 0.o Im not pretty sure if it's something that every-one know and im just a blind person, or everyone is blind and i've found something? Somepony can help me with that? >.< derp

@winterthim Well we only usually see one flank at once, but I think all ponies have two cutie marks.

@leonkfox Nope, definitely on both. No matter which side you see, the cutie mark's thre. Plus, there are a few scenes where you can see both sides at once.

On the subject of cutie marks, here's a thing. Rainbow Dash's cutie mark goes in the same direction as her hind legs. That is, the left side has the lightning bolt pointing down and left, and jotting out to the right, and the right side goes in the opposite direction. Incidentally, the toys (at least the $5 brushables, as I haven't seen the fashion style ponies out of the boxes, and have never seen a blind bag in person) fail because not only is Rainbow Dash's cutie mark backwards, it's also only on one side. Moreover, *which* side isn't even consistent - it's whatever one is facing forward when packed in the box. Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Applejack have their cutie marks on the left; Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity have them on the right. #themoreyouknowaboutcutiemarks

@starshine The toys are pretty much a fail in general. I saw some in Tesco's the other day, my reaction "I am dissapoint."

@leonkfox Yeah, those play sets are kind of lousy, and I would have nothing to do with anything besides the ponies themselves (and I guess the animals, too - I have those all lined up on top of my monitor). Just get the brushables. I'm not buying Celestia until I can get one that is either not pink or at least easily repaintable.

@starshine They're embarassing, if I want to come home to my family with FiM toys to embrace my fandom, I don't want them to look like chinese knock offs (which with how off they are to FiM they may as well be)

@leonkfox There's a couple bits that aren't quite perfect, and you're acting like they're trying to sell Fluttershy without wings or something. They're $5, they're more or less the right colors, and with about 15 minutes of work you can get the hair looking good. Stop being ridiculous.

@starshine They're expensive for their quality, at least where I am. So no, I don't feel I'm being ridiuclous. I don't want to buy them and won't. I'd rather have no FiM merchandise at all than bring the stuff in that picture home.

@starshine Yep. It happens with all Hasbro toys. They see the American price and then change the $ to a £, which is why I've been paying twice as much for all my Transformers as you would for the past few years.

@thelastgherkin @starshine Pink Celestia is £14.97 (so pretty much 15 quid) here, not what I would consider cheap given how poor she is, and Twilight + Balloon is 18 quid. (19.67 to be exact) If this currency converter is trustworthy that makes Pink Celestia $24.37 and Twilight with Balloon $30.39.

I will reiterate that I don't think they look bad once you get the hair styled right, though before I shut up and BOUGHT one of them, I was similarly whiny about how they looked. But I'm going to drop this conversation now, because it's not going anywhere.

@thelastgherkin Cut up a drinking straw. Soak hair in water, wrap hair around bits of straw. Secure in place with those hair clip things, the name of which I cannot remember at the moment.

@rotation There's no crown or neck thing on one of them; the talking one is just horrible on so many levels that I refuse to pay money for it; and she's pink, which is easily solved but still stupid and on top of those other things is enough reason not to spend money on it. Plus there is no Celestia toy that is in correct proportion to the brushables.

@rotation I'm willing to bet those were worth it to a collector though. I've spend a lot of money on collectables before, because they were quality and looked like they were made by people who watch/play the franchise/s they came from.
