Which leads me to believe that Granny Smith's original name when she was young was the Irish Abigail, meaning "Little Smith". (or at least a pet name..) When she became old, though, her grandchildren called her Granny Smith. Either that or her name was Applesmith..

@dezzierose Granny Smith's name was always Granny Smith. It was her Fated Destiny to become a grandmother.

@tabithastgherkin She is like in the Benjamin Button film. She is born old but she gets younger when she gets older. Confusing, right?
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 14:36:58 UTC from Choqok-
@broniebrown But then how would she be a grandmother now? Shouldn't she be younger than Apple Bloom?
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 14:39:50 UTC from web -
@broniebrown MAYBE Apple Bloom is the grandmother and Granny Smith is the youngest! :O

@tabithastgherkin Now where does it say that? oh and btw Tabitha St. German was Granny Smith's voice actress too..

@dezzierose I said it, so it must be canon. (That's how it tends to work on DA, at least. :) )

@tabithastgherkin *blank look on face*

@dezzierose Seriously, people have started asking me things like what to call Griffon land (Gryphos, for the record) or how Celestia manages to rule the whole of Equestria single-handedly.

@tabithastgherkin So we have the Word of Faust, and also the Word of Gherkin?
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 14:46:29 UTC from web-
@starshine Gosh, IF ONLY. That would be totally amazing. But people asking me things isn't really all that widespread just yet.

@tabithastgherkin Nice. You must be quite the influential person then.
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 14:51:25 UTC from web-
@dezzierose You could say that. I'm not like, uber-popular, but I guess I'm on the way up.

@tabithastgherkin Neat.

@tabithastgherkin I thought GryphOS was an operating system?
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 14:54:08 UTC from web-
@scribus Do they have those in Equestria?
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 14:57:38 UTC from web-
@tabithastgherkin Um, sure! Twilight's secret lab had that compu-thingy, it must operate somehow.
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:00:40 UTC from web-
@scribus I thought it ran off tape reels and blinking lights. Like 60s spy films!
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:11:42 UTC from web-
@tabithastgherkin Oh, man, I always wanted one of those spinning globey chairs, where you can't see who's in it until they turn around and *GASP!* it's the villain! Except, I wouldn't be villainous.
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:19:58 UTC from web-
@scribus You so would.

@tabithastgherkin I thought their operating system's name would be PegasOS.
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:07:25 UTC from Choqok-
@broniebrown Clearly they should be running Big Macintosh OS.
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:11:57 UTC from web-
@tabithastgherkin They used to use Macintosh OS but because of the fancy mathematics they switched to newer and better systems.
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:18:19 UTC from Choqok-
@broniebrown why does that reminds me of the episode ''applebuck season'' ?
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:40:12 UTC from web-
@chaosmagic Because of the quote of Macintosh's?
Wednesday, 24-Aug-11 15:56:23 UTC from Choqok-
@broniebrown yeah =D
