@critialcloudkicker In my experience, even most educated people do not actually understand evolution. They still attribute a "direction" to it or believe that it always progresses toward better and more efficient outcomes.

@critialcloudkicker You can install Outcast within a virtual machine. Luckily the game doesn't require 3D acceleration.

@critialcloudkicker There were a dozen fan projects that wanted to remake the game. Also there were also dozen announcements for a sequel but none of them came into fruition. This time it's an official remake. If you find the original for a very cheap price I'd suggest to play it but it has some odd quirks from the past and the rendering engine doesn't support high resolutions. I guess 800x600 is the max. I don't know either if it works on a current OS on 64 bit.

@critialcloudkicker You can install Raspian and compile this frontend yourself if you want the extra challenge.

@critialcloudkicker It's easy as pie. There is an image that has everything configured and is ready to go https://retropie.org.uk/ Get a raspberry pi, a SD card, copy it over and that's it.

@critialcloudkicker This contained just a FTDI USB to serial adapter and two ESP8266 wireless LAN adapters for my arduinos. I didn't plan anything special but I imagined to have a mini temperature sensor node that can be accessed via the web browser.
