@dynamicentry Henbury School? That name does not ring any bells for me ,I went to Teyfant Community School, then Brislington for secondary, did 2 years of Sixth Form there and one year in City of Bristol on a cooking course which lost my interest, I did pass it though.

@dynamicentry I used to be utterly in love with it, but sadly not so much anymore ,I used to love its extremly childish ambience and how it made me feel...innocent again, almost pure (even at 13 to 14 secondary school had all but killed my innocence) but thankfully FiM has now come into my life to fill that void, and it's better written as well! So all is good ^^

@dynamicentry I never watched that either XD I must confess I have somehow wound up with a teensy bit of a soft spot for Nelvana's 80's Care Bears show, I was born in 1990 but I had a recording of the first movie and for a few years loved the whole thing (2004 especially) it kind of faded though and now is more or less gone, but the fact I got into it at 12 or 13 is actually stranger to me than how I got into FiM a few months back, for some reason. (I originally watched the tape when I did an all nighter once)

@dynamicentry I guess so, but for the first two seasons it was a damned good advert. And as far as an advertising show goes, it beats any of the older MLP shows by a country mile even in its current state IMO.

@dynamicentry As far as I can see, the story in the manga was just as easy to make tie-in stuff for, and still safe for an american audience, so it just makes no sense at all.

@dynamicentry The N64 ones were great ,the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox one was okay ish and the latest game SUCKED.

@dynamicentry heh, sounds awesome. My parents are sadly as normal as can be for UK parents. Mother loves romantic comedies and the like (she does like Doctor Who, but not as much as I do) and my dad is a sports junkie. I have more in common with my mother than my dad, but that's not saying much.

@dynamicentry I watched both as a kid, and I can't remember either having a particular good plotline. The Pokemon movies up until 4ever had pretty good stories, but the show as a whole as borderline flat as far as characterisation and story development go, beating it isn't exactly hard (it was tolerable for a season or 2, and it was great to me as a kid but by Season 3 the lack of development or change in the show's formula made me grow tired of it. Season 2 mixed things up a tad but besides that it's been the same formula of "HEY GUYZ, I'M GONNA ENTER A POKEMON LEAGUE!" he wins the badges, loses the league and tries in another reigon. So yeah, beating Pokemon's TV show is not a challenge :P
