@ceruleanspark I was at toys'r'us yesterday, looking at ponies, getting frustrated that the only Rainbow Dash they had was some kind of strange thing with flapping huge fairy wings (batteries not included). Ofc nonexistent ponies in abundance. Sweetberry who? So I went for the exit and saw the blindbags and did want to buy a few... but my non-brony friend who was with me ran so hard out of there I didn't have the time :/

@thatonespecter If they're robot people and emotionless, then there's no point to reading the story other than possibly grasp the language better or maybe to apply some part of the story to your life, though it's often hard to relate to something when you can't do so on an emotional level and have to rely on cold hard facts. I believe one of a story's goals is to provide some form of entertainment through one emotion or something similar, but not an emotion per se (ex: Sense of adventure) which makes reading a story seem somewhat pointless if they're robot-like.

@abigpony Listening to the song, yeah, a few parts don't work syllable wise, but this was mostly from memory as to what the song sounded like. Still, it's almost entirely singable to the beat sans those few parts.

@abigpony I never said he was characterized well, just that some form of attempt was made. I think they relied too much on letting us fill in the known characters' personalities from what we knew so that they didn't have to. Oh well. G'night.

@abigpony Honestly that's the least of their problems, at least he got some characterization. Poor Rainbow Dash go none at all and got less lines than Princess Luna before near the ending.

@egnaroesroh Although yes, this is also a problem as well. It's not a good thing when the Gary Stu/self insert of the character is actually the highlight because it shows some development. Which actually explains a lot since this would explain why the main character is the only one who they actually write about in some detail.

@abigpony Hmm, well I personally wouldn't say too sappy, just that the moments where try to convey it they do poorly and are hit and miss. Depending on how you wrote it, maybe that's the better option. A review would probably be taken into consideration more by its author if it points out the issues instead of just, "This is like really, really bad as in super bad."

@abigpony I still can't understand why it's lauded as amazing and 6 is six starred. For being a RD story, she gets probably less than a page of dialogue and her characterization isn't really there at all. The one conflict in the entire story is done badly and makes the whole problem seem like they got insanely mad over just spilling a drink.

@abigpony The biggest letdown is how little you can care about Rainbow Dash at all. The whole separation thing is supposed to be heart breaking, but how can you when all you know about her up till that point is she likes racing. I can't feel bad for someone if I don't feel like I know them. I can't deny that done better, this would legitimately be a sad story, but as it is it comes off as "I have this idea for a story, but I don't have all the details so I'll just give you the main points an you can come up with the details yourself."

Playing the Resident Evil Revelations demo, not only are you not swimming in ammo, but it's atmospheric in a way a RE game should be, and to top it all off, it actually made me JUMP! These are all things that could not be said for RE5. !vgp

@ceruleanspark I don't use 3D on 3DS games bar for Mario Kart 7, it tends to give me headaches and I think the games look better without it.

@ecmc1093 I've been a fan of the series ever since I was 9 years old, and I'm 21 going on 22 now, so I must confess I'm a bit more picky when it comes to Resident Evil :P (don't get the wrong impression though, I loved RE4, while it had a lot of action it still had an atmosphere to it, which 5 lacked)
