@axelgunn lol, you never go to bed. ;p
-
@supercammy Naw, by showing him he's written an amazing song that hundreds of people love. ^.^
-
Hahaha, I'm blowing Osoth's mind. ^.^
-
@yuri Technically, it would be a stream of coincidences, that have been happening predictably for hundreds of years. ...That would be "science". ;p
-
@alias Pfft. Mathematics has been working for real-world purposes for far too long to be coincidence.
-
@alias What about the things that work BECAUSE of mathematics? Like uhm... computers... any kind of mechanical or technical engineering... or really, any kind of engineering at all... DNA sequencing? Chemistry...
-
@yuri That pretty much sums up the concept of "idea". Some may say that you require a human brain to postulate that idea though, and that may lend itself to ideas being "invented" by humans.
-
@yuri Personally, I'm of the opinion that ideas are discovered.
-
@yuri Now THAT is a good philosophical debate.
-
@axelgunn lol. We talked about nothing, and then I got lured into PonySquare. And then Minti went AWOL for the rest of the night.
-
@yuri ...That's a different argument. ;p
-
@axelgunn Yeah, we killed off Icarus, Twilight, Zecora, and Mint is in a coma.
-
@yuri That would be inventing a use for it though, not discovering it's use-- technically.
-
@yuri Thing is, that internal system represents physical interactions that are also consistent with the same system...
-
@yuri lol, this is awesome.
-
@forestrain But then by that logic, one would be unable to prove ANYTHING is true.
-
@yuri The system of mathematics works because it is consistent and logical. Is there any way to definitively prove that in the grand scheme of the universe it represents truth? No. But it works!
-
@yuri In a world that's never known war or violence, you simply forged a neat-looking metal object, of which you have no clue as to it's use. In a world like that, you would be unable to find out what it was for.
-
@yuri Already did, with 2 + 2 = 4. It's proven by performing a reverse operation, or a complimentary one.
-
@digibrony Jebus, it's Thursday? ...Ditto.
-
@yuri Or it would just make you a guy holding a sword, with no knowledge of what it is, or how to use it.
-
@yuri 4-2 = 2? Wouldn't that prove it? ;p
-
@coltonrawrr @yuri Blah. Quit panicking. Tinker said she's going to continue to keep the place afloat until they find a new admin.
-
@crusader8 As far as I know, The Last Roundup remains unchanged everywhere but iTunes.
-
@bronymike No problems, man. I'm in no rush. Like I said, I'm still waiting to hear back from the soloists I've already got. So a verse is bound to open up. >.>
-
@bronymike Hey, did you get my message on YouTube regarding the #MassiveSmileProject?
-
Hrm, metaphysical nihilism is strangely comforting. >.>
