!vancouverbronies for those of you that have been paying attention to what I do then you know why I am post if not well then go here Vancouverbronies.blogspot.com but anyway we have agreed that 1pm-3pm on Saturdays is good for everypony. Now comes a question which I need help with, were do we go, literally. Send me locations of places you think could hold 10-20ish people at a time or possible 30 because our group meets rare exceed that. I NEED this info guys and gals please don't ignore me

Ok, a friend on AIM was complaining about his girlfriend whining, yours truly sent him the clip of Rarity from A Dog and Pony Show, this makes him want to watch the rest of the ep, his girlfriend hears him laughing and makes him play it again so she can see it... now they're through most of season one and trying to finish that and season two before tomorrow morning so they can catch the newest ep... damn I'm good.

@tequilasunrise @dawnstar !vancouverbronies people seriously do that x3? that's horrible... and yeah definatly should have a major meet up once in a while cause those feel pretty special when they happen. Weekly meets are cool, cause everyone gets to see eachother more often, but to make the weekly meet ups work, i think people really need to start pitching in ideas on where to hang out. Like Tequila said dinner or coffee, those are some good ideas. Also some structure to the meet up i think would be nice if there need be one, so there isn't absolute "discording" cause keeping track of people and meeting up again after every one's split up is rather difficult. If there are activities planned after everyone meets up, and if people want to split up into groups that's cool, but i think there should be a designated communicator, like someone who has the phone number of someone in the other group so people can meet up when they want to again. This of course applys to malls and such.

!vancouverbronies Okay, my stance on the whole meetup thing, hopefully a little more fleshed out. Pros to weekly meetups: we get to see each other more often. Cons: there are only so many places to hang out, so we'd probably end up needing to stick to 1-3 different places, so it could honestly get a little stale, especially if they lack proper structure. We likely won't be able to do something like bowling or whatever on a weekly basis, due to cost (and I certainly can't afford more than 1-2 Vancouver trips a month, but that's irrelivent in the big picture). In my limited experience, meetups that aren't booze-oriented are best-suited for actual venues with some infrastructure, such as the bowling meetup on October 30th. I'm really not sold on the whole meetups at houses thing unless we plan on getting mangoesed. Please don't take this as gospel either; I'm just stating my opinion on this. Please note that I'd still be of the "monthly over weekly meetups" position if I lived in Van.

@garyoak !vancouverbronies The point of these is that they are optional meet ups, that are just going to be there (on at the looks of it) every saterday, kinda like a club, meeting at the same location. I have noticed very few new bronies show up that arnt freshly joined so I am trying to create something that isnt goal oriented for the wall flowers to come to (hello if your reading this btw), they are just for chatting and probably wont be as long as other meet ups either this is more of a social get together. that just happens to have people who like ponies, I am also going to point out sport teams and hockey clubs as examples of weekly meets that work.

!vancouverbronies yes thats one of the things that I think should stay this is not quite a meet up I am creating but an excuse for bronies to get together and is technically less formal then the large meet ups, ( technically because who the hell is formal these days) I Though I had stated as such. @garyoak also @tophat is a pink and blue one is like flootershies

This will allow any out of town bronies that come to Vancouver to plan around the knowledge of it being there if they wanna show up. I didnt ask if you wanted to go I said I was setting it up and that it doesn't matter whether your going or not, just wicth day of the week is more convenient. so people feel free to vote at www.vancouverbronies.blogspot.com

Gotta think it through cause if we keep on doing the same things or keep on hanging out in the same spot it's gonna get kinda stale. Not shooting down your idea im just putting up some cons. On the other hoof the pros would be that every one would get to see eachother more often.

@tigerdusk yeah I know it would get kinda stale, thanks for being political about it though. the idea behind it is that this and monthly events are separate, and allow people with busy schedules to plane weeks to months in advance

@echron1000 like i said man, the idea is good cause people will get to hang out more together and make friends and stuff. Honestly I'd go with it, it's just the winter months are kinda taxing on like the areas we can all hang out in, cause since we all are getting to be such a big group, i think we need a bigger area if anything, the house party from the december meet up was kind of proof of that. I say if people agree with the idea i'd go with it, just plan ahead in which places we can all hang out and stuff, or do like we did back then and have a vote or poll on suggested areas.
