@kamikaze I fail to see how it'd be wicked to talk about alicorn love? Love isn't filthy or obscene.

@kamikaze I see unicorn elitism in canon as clearly as I see it for pegasi I think, but I guess it depends on the city. Cloudsdale and Canterlot seem to be mainstays of pegasus and unicorn culture, tradition, etc. respectively, though Canterlot is obviously more accessible to other types of ponies. Still, so far unicorn royalty is unique to unicorns like flight is to pegasi. Earth ponies are really the humble lot it seems with a few exceptions like the Rich family perhaps.

@kamikaze Their role and weather ponies seems to be practically impossible for other ponies to take, but there's a good mix of pegasi living in Ponyville it seems, so I doubt they're too segregated.

@kamikaze right. I think the roles for each type of pony must have been much more clearly defined during the time before equestria, but once they began to live united those roles became much more flexible. I doubt Fluttershy would have ever been allowed to care for animals while the pegasi remained segregated from the non-flying ponies.

@kamikaze reminds of of an interesting fic I read though where the method of alicorn reproduction was to "imbue" another pony with alicornhood.

@kamikaze I'd love to see more about the alicorn origins in the series. Of course that would upset fanon, but I think most fans would still love it. I have a suspicion that the last "level of training" for Twilight Sparkle could be to become an alicorn. The first 2 episodes of season 3 have some hints anyway that bigger things are in store for Twilight, alicornhood or no..

@kamikaze It makes it portable between systems and OS's, and separates it from whatever problems may plague the rest of the OS. If the OS needs to be reinstalled or replaced there's no danger of losing /home, and you can easily move it from one OS to another.
