  1. @nerthos I treat my computer as a safe system. The advantage is of having nigh unbreakable passwords and breaking one doesn't give access to any other service, because they all have different keys.

  2. @widget So it has to salt and hash for every single account/password to check? That's basically a dictionary attack with a very small dictionary.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:37:37 UTC from web in context
  3. @nerthos Don't be ridiculous, I could never type them without making a mistake. I copy'n'paste my passwords.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:36:07 UTC from web in context
  4. @widget WTF, they're not salted and hashed? I knew to do that 15 years ago!

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:34:56 UTC from web in context
  5. @nerthos I don't even try. I have more than 50 different passwords, all random generated.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:32:24 UTC from web in context
  6. @widget Awww. I could mail everypony a random generated safe password. I'd be performing a public service.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:30:43 UTC from web in context
  7. @widget would you mind if I wrote a little script that performs a dictionary attack on all accounts?

  9. @crusader8 I'd have opted for scootalooisbestpony

  11. @hoit21 I wish I didn't know.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:20:28 UTC from web in context
  12. @neurario I generate my passwords like this: > dd bs=1 count=57 < /dev/random | b64encode -

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:19:42 UTC from web in context
  13. @hoit21 Seriously, it's better than the alternative.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:17:52 UTC from web in context
  14. @nerthos Without a doubt.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:16:33 UTC from web in context
  15. @hoit21 Congratulations.

  16. @nerthos That's nowhere near as smooth as referencing the !lunarrepublic.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:14:22 UTC from web in context
  17. @nerthos Even if they were, it wouldn't show !solarempire posts along with !se posts.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:13:41 UTC from web in context
  18. We're moving in circles. I don't want to be a member of the group, I just want to reference it. Clearly what I want cannot be done.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:12:11 UTC from web in context
  19. @nerthos OK, however it doesn't know about aliases and it doesn't lead ponies to the group, which was my original intent.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:10:50 UTC from web in context
  20. @kamikaze That didn't work, test 2: #

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:08:32 UTC from web in context
  21. @nerthos Didn't know that, test: #

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:08:02 UTC from web in context
  22. @toksyuryel Well, I don't want to be part of the !solarempire or even post TO it. I just want ponies to be able to click a link so they can see what I'm talking about.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:07:16 UTC from web in context
  23. @nerthos So what, I cannot reference groups I'm not a member of? I can reference ponies I'm not subscribed to just fine!

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:05:00 UTC from web in context
  24. @widget do you have an idea why my !solarempire references don't work?

Friday, 18-Jan-13 06:01:23 UTC from web in context
  25. @yodelerty Or not. Like the !solarempire and the !lunarrepublic didn't spit the fandom. Heck, clopping didn't split the fandom!

  26. I hate it that my spell checker complains about everypony and parasprites. So while writing this I finally made the two clicks to fix this issue.

Friday, 18-Jan-13 05:56:40 UTC from web
  27. @neurario Haters gonna shut up after the next episode. Or they'll multiply like parasprites. Could go either way.

  28. @renovatedkitchen Just like there never was a sequel to the Matrix.

  29. @renovatedkitchen There is no such thing.
