Fell in love with MLP:FIS despite all my attempts to the contrary, thanks unexpectedly to my Sonic the Hedgehog obsession. What can i say? We're all mad here.

@starshine Problem was, Tails didn't have a very well-drawn character in SatAM, because he was so much younger than all the other characters and they were basically raising him, but wouldn't take him on missions. That's a criticism that a lot of people toss up when they're attacking the show. So i think while they did imbibe him with some child-like fear, the creators didn't really look into whether he had a lot of confidence, or was shy, or what. I do know that later on, when he started coming in more, he was absolutely confident in himself, even when Sally was questioning whether he could/should do the task at hand. Soooo... I suppose his character could have some interpretation of that, but not enough to make me personally able to compare him to Fluttershy. And yes! You should rewatch the shows! They're wonderful! ^>^

@starshine Yeah, i know SatAM best too (it IS the best thing to come out of the Sonic Universe, in my not-so-humble opion), but i don't think Tails was really shy in that, either, especially not toward the end of the second season, when he was discovering his own abilities and swinging them with total confidence, even when the others weren't so sure of him. :) But then, i'm kind of obsessed with the whole Sonic thing, so don't mind me. ;) Thanks for the reply trick! I'm still getting used to the layout of this site...

@starshine well, in Sonic Colors at least, Tails wasn't shy in the least, and even when he was less confident, he wasn't quite so pleasing-others oriented as Fluttershy. The problem is, there aren't really any actual SHY characters in Sonic canon, as far as i know. :(

Rainbow Dash = Sonic, Applejack = Bunnie Rabbot, Twilight = Sally Acorn, Pinkie Pie = Amy Rose, Rarity = Rouge... still haven't settled on who Fluttershy is... and Spike = WAAAY more confident Tails. XD
