This RDN profile gives Dianne Feinstein nightmares. :D

@metaltao I thought you were the potato and you would get royalties if that costume were real.
-
I scored 245 out of 250 on the live fire test of my concealed carry renewal course. :)

@metaltao Take over your family's backyard and turn it into a potato garden when the weather is more temperate. :P
-
@metaltao :(
-
@metaltao I ate hash brown potatoes for breakfast. :P
-
@metaltao I don't have any WD-40, but I would probably opt for Kroil if I needed a penetrating oil. :P
-
@metaltao What's squeaking? :P

@metaltao The gun laws aren't terrible up here. There is an arbitrary classification of certain "assault type weapons" one needs a "Permit to Purchase" (and be at least 21 years of age) to obtain (this permit is also required for handguns), but if I recall correctly, one can get that permit free of charge by applying at a police station. The concealed carry permit doubles as a "Permit to Purchase." Restricted NFA items like suppressors were recently legalized in Minnesota, but there is the typical federal red tape associated with applying to get one. Minnesota is a bit more restrictive than some other states when it comes to genuine full-auto and selective fire guns (they have to meet Curio & Relic classification), but those are so expensive (supply and demand distortions caused by Ronald Reagan closing the NFA registry on such firearms in 1986) I will never own one of them anyway.
-
@metaltao Fortunately, Minnesota isn't too restrictive in terms of firearms vis-à-vis states like New York, California, Massachusetts, etc.

While practicing with the Glock 19, I was carrying my secondary carry gun (Smith & Wesson M&P Shield) for defense. ;)

@metaltao It doesn't matter which pistol you use to qualify; the permit lets one legally carry a concealed pistol in general where allowed by law. I am have been practicing with my Glock 19 (fourth generation), as it has been my primary carry gun for nearly five years. I figure I may as well requalify with the pistol to which I have been trusting with my life outside of the home.
-
@metaltao I was doing some pistol practice, given that I am going to take a concealed carry renewal course tomorrow (you have to renew a CCW permit every five years in Minnesota). ;)
-
Pew. Pew.
-
@metaltao I had them for breakfast yesterday morning.
-
Hash browns.
-
Dammit. A 1941 Tula SVT-40 had to show up on a rack at the gun store just when I exhausted a good deal of spare cash on other things. :(

@rarity My collection is full of girls that got yiffed and turned into guns?
-
@rarity Probably. They just took off a panel, looked inside of a unit for 30 seconds, got confused, and hid inside of a building to smoke cigarettes.
-
@rarity No, but it was amusing to see people working for a different contractor on a different set of HVAC equipment failing to understand even the most basic things about the said equipment.
-
That service call was amusing.
-
@l1ghtsword Is RDN distracting you from it, or something else? :P
-
@l1ghtsword Your projects aren't done either?
-
@l1ghtsword What if MetalTao simply found a different distraction after being temporarily silenced from RDN?
-
@yodelerty Here. http://pny.lv/ro8u
-
@metaltao I may as well practice, as I need to renew my concealed carry permit soon. :P
-
@metaltao I think you are just jealous that you didn't get to fire a few hundred rounds through a Glock 19 like I did. :P
