@northernnarwhal The arguments of the apologists of such "discipline" have been eviscerated by numerous studies carried out by psychologists. They "counter" the apodictic contentions of the scientific community on this question with crass anti-intellectualism. Physical "discipline" of children in the US is most popular in the Southern states, and these states have the highest rates of teenage pregnancy, juvenile delinquency, etc. Furthermore, dozens of countries have made it illegal for parents to smack their children, and they haven't erupted into "anarchy" as a result (Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland, Israel, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, etc.).

@mrmattimation I found the 360's reliability problems (I had an early variant) so vexatious in nature that going back to the PlayStation controller wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

@mrmattimation I've been able to put up with them, as I have used them for a number of years. They do seem a bit small, though (admittedly, even the original "hamburger" controller for the Xbox wasn't too big for my hands).

@mrmattimation I believe that is what my brothers did when it came to getting the Xbox One.

@mrmattimation Admittedly, the Xbox 360 controller feels better than the PS3 one, but I haven't held the one of the Xbox One. Then again, I suppose I could try out the Xbox One of one of my younger brothers the next time I am out of town.

@metaltao I haven't played it in years. Additionally, I ditched the Xbox 360 for the PS3 over five years ago due to the 360's reliability issues ("red ring of death," scratching discs).

@metaltao I proved my safety and proficiency by scoring 245 out of 250 on a live fire test for concealed carry permit renewal. Feinstein obviously can't be trusted with a firearm, yet she has a concealed carry permit and thinks she is an authority on the subject.
