@erkanyilmaz so is it wise to choose a !sn server with a short domain name because of the still widely applied 140 characters limit?

@erkanyilmaz i see...
Wednesday, 22-May-13 12:29:59 UTC from restore -
@erkanyilmaz thx, worked :) Now, if one sends a dent to @erkanyilmaz, on which acct do you receive it? (they are both named the same)

@demuxer I wanted to suggest you might want to try following the account 'evan@ e14n .com' in !pumpio and see if it works

@erkanyilmaz how can I subscribe to your !sn account on your sn instance? I don't have an OpenID. (I'm still learning to use sn...)
Wednesday, 22-May-13 08:52:15 UTC from restore -
@demuxer my problems: a) to follow some accounts (e.g. evan@ e14n .com) and b) actually see their posts in my timeline. Can you try this?
Wednesday, 22-May-13 02:22:21 UTC from restore -
@demuxer strange, it's not slow here. On what server is it slow?
Wednesday, 22-May-13 02:16:37 UTC from restore -
@zoowar I really hope not. I actually like !pumpio, but perhaps some more weeks time would be needed to remove bugs and rough edges in it.

@mrb thanks! cc/ @marjoleink
Tuesday, 21-May-13 22:44:17 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink Good night :)
Tuesday, 21-May-13 22:30:43 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink If most !identica people just wake up in !pump 1.6. & don't know what to do, they'll use !pump (if it's usable)or goto twitter
Tuesday, 21-May-13 22:30:14 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink an easy HOWTO should be written for people who want to stay in !statusnet. Where to get a new !sn account,can I keep my name,etc
Tuesday, 21-May-13 22:24:50 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink thats great. I really hope there will remain enough people left in !statusnet to survive.
Tuesday, 21-May-13 22:14:07 UTC from restore -
@jbfavre a bridge should be made between !statusnet and !plumio (!identica) to keep a big enough number of participants to survive.
Tuesday, 21-May-13 22:08:28 UTC from restore -
I want to get a sn account in the remaining federation, too. I wonder what other people will do. Most just doesn't seam to care.
Tuesday, 21-May-13 21:48:15 UTC from restore -
this could possibly be solved by showing the group or list of groups above the dent and the denter can deselect unwanted groups.
Tuesday, 21-May-13 21:41:31 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink but I think we both want the same thing, that !identica stays as much as possible like it is
Tuesday, 21-May-13 21:36:55 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink why should someone address a dent to a grou p that has nothing todo with it?The denter still can choose the right group herself
Tuesday, 21-May-13 21:35:20 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink I of course mean that the denter assigns one or more groups to their dent. But it perhaps needn't be inside the dent body
Tuesday, 21-May-13 21:11:24 UTC from restore -
@zoowar yes,thats what I meant, just like groups work today in identica. Do you mean sth different?
Tuesday, 21-May-13 21:03:33 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink perhaps nowadays we don't need support for text-only sms style interfaces. It may suffice that groups can be assigned to dents.
Tuesday, 21-May-13 21:01:00 UTC from restore -
@marjoleink sn style !groups are so great, especially if you have a text-only interface like sms.
Tuesday, 21-May-13 20:51:28 UTC from restore -
@zoowar 'informal collections of participants' (=people who just happen to see one's post) are not what I would call a group feature.

!pump 2 hrs ago I could only unfollow accounts I started following a few min. before but none of the accounts I'm following longer than that
Friday, 17-May-13 00:14:06 UTC from restore -
!pumpio just managed to unfollow evan@e14n.com from my profile and re-follow him at his site. Tried the same with 2 others but didn't work
Friday, 17-May-13 00:02:07 UTC from restore -
@larjona at the moment I can't unfollow anybody, I always see the _Follow_ button, both in my profile and on their servers.
Thursday, 16-May-13 20:48:13 UTC from restore -
They are posting, but I can't follow them correctly. http://identi.ca/url/75853256

unfortunately my coding skills are limited to bash scripts. Oh and I wrote a small Pascal program on the Amiga around 1990.
