@adiwan I'm not sure it is a violation though. I'm pretty sure all the text-to-speech systems in phones warn you that they're sending your voice elsewhere and that it might be stored.

@ceruleanspark I knew beforehand that the speech samples are transmitted over the Internet to the speech recognition servers because they are more capable of recognizing the command correctly. In this case it creates a bad feeling. I understand that they want to make the recognition more reliable with a large and varied and real-life sample and train their recognition software with that and adjust it manually. But still it doesn't make it right.

@darkw00d I've always been of the idea that, if you know someone else and the appeal is reciprocal, and you KNOW it can work, go for it. Don't gamble trying to find "better" because you have a good chance of ending with nothing.

@darkw00d Guess we can agree to disagree, knowing the positions of eachother are both reasonable. I guess my position comes from the life philosophy I've always had of "do what you want as long as it's in private" and "beat the world into submission"

@ceruleanspark The Fiat Cinquecento is genuinely one of the ugliest cars I can think of. We have a word over here, "cheto", that describes someone who's barely above average mid-class income, and has this stupid "I'm rich and better than everyone" complex. They even have a specific way of talking and dressing, try to buy houses in closed country clubs, and all that. And that car? I haven't seen a car in my life that fits them better, and I've seen them get out of those more times than I can remember.

@nerthos It's a 1% boost (per point) to certain types of production. I think the non-automated ones (IE, those that require workers).

@ceruleanspark It affects resource production rates, in the same way religion does, and adds one point of max catpower, plus a really slight boost to things like max science (currently have 53.08k as max with 2.82 compendiums); yet it doesn't affect workshop effectivity apparently.
