@noelnarwhal Some shows started airing here in the 90s because the licenses were cheap, and it caught up. Never too strongly, but enough for cartoon channels and some air ones to air a few now and then. Everything from sailor moon and dragon ball to slayers and evangelion.

@noelnarwhal Yeah, we had a tv channel that was dedicated mostly to anime. Then sony entertainment bought it and killed it byfilling it with hideous live action dramas for mentally challenged teenagers, rebranded it, and eventually closed it altogether as no one watched it.

@noelnarwhal Oh. I was weirded out because @amaris was telling me that in her run, after the boss, you know who told her that she didn't get the ending she was going for (pacifist) and sent her back to a mid point where she could re-finish the game differently.

@noelnarwhal I understand now. I think season 2 will be better, but I get that it being such a slow-burner wouldn't exactly speak volumes about the show's quality

@noelnarwhal To be honest I disagree. I think there was just enough focus on Saitama to progress the story but he never really stole the limelight, even during his scenes (at least in regards to the second half). I feel like with the way the story's going, season 2 especially will focus on the friction within the Hero Association, which came across to me as the intent of the last six or so episodes already. Obviously if you disagree then you disagree, but I've enjoyed the amount of limelight the other S-Ranks have been getting personally.

@noelnarwhal Playing devil's advocate for the point that Saitama is an uninteresting character, he does kinda share that with most big superhero names. Also season 2 is almost definitely happening and so I'm expecting resolutions for all the unexplored elements

@noelnarwhal Ooo, that must get a rise out of a lot of people. Abstract art is pretty divisive and people tend to be on either the "That's stupid, anyone can do that. It's just a (x)!" side, or the "You're just a lesser being who can't understand the true complexity of this piece" side.

@noelnarwhal Outside of digital, I can only draw realism. It's ridiculously hard trying to draw something that's not right in front of you. And all I ever wanted were the simpler things in life, like drawing adorable anime characters and ghibli-esque creatures.
