@lambadalambda @schestowitz ok i just googled it myself and it gave nothing useful, I guess its gone.
there used to be a completely userland version of linux that was built to run on top of microkernels like mach and l4, both to abstract away hardware differences and to isolate apps from baseband radio and gsm sftware, to reduce hacking, stealing phone keys, etc. for phones it's also because the gpu runs its own os. -

@mono ok I just watched the whole thing and its pretty obvious they wanted to go after alternative medicine but a) needed a not-white person to criticize bullcherry from not-white cultures and b) decided that white people culturally appropriating deadly nonsense was worse than deadly nonsense

@roka don't really see those longer buses that are split in the middle anymore here (I have no idea what they're called in english, we call them "accordion bus" if you translate the finnish word literally)
I do rember one time in one of those, on my way to high school, the thing slided slightly off-road into the snow and the driver couldn't get it out. that was a decent excuse for being late from the class -
One time Bernie Sanders got kicked out of a work commune because he kept talking to people and not working. So I kind of treat him like a kindred spirit since I've had this happen to me but for after school clubs

uni here is chill for most of the time, but when deadlines and exams get closer it becomes more hectic.. ofc it would be easier if one would just start working on assignments earlier when it's still chill but I'm starting to believe it's literally impossible to do so
having to wake up early or spend long hours at the uni is not a problem because lectures aren't mandatory for 95% of the courses, but around half of them have some weekly exercises that are, so with average 5 courses or so you might have maybe 3 days when you actually need to go to school -
@clacke I'm not exactly pulling the classical liberal card but liberalism has been characterized in my mind as reform rather than revolution, free speech in the american conception has been a cornerstone of liberalism and now its suspiciously being abandoned using arguments straight out of communist (actual not "american epithet" communist) playbooks. Intersectionality is conceptually different than liberal as of mid-80s or maybe even mid-90s "equality". I don't think its just social advancement because in the past this meant "gays and blacks need access to the american dream" and now it's "america needs to be torn down to its roots before real change can be enacted" it's just fundamentally different philosophy and people can't tell the difference because they're just p-zombies

I actually don't like the argument "if you destroy stuff you're a bad revolutionary" but come on there are definitely people that are just in it to smash banana and there are people that know that and weaponize it.
