@takebananaakenji if workplace can't prove they sent their part of the forms to you on time, they are fined heavily and you have only minimal problems with the taxman (in the sense you have to personally talk with them several times and sometimes send letters). it's still up to you to do bullbatcave calculations, fill the damn things and submit them.
in fact, everyone in the family tends to dump the calculation and filling part on an aunt who's rather good at it. everyone except me - i don't like having others do my things. -

America is weird because we're one of the biggest, most powerful, and most patriotic countries in the world but the nation we all worship is usually entirely in our heads. Conservatives and Liberals (and especially anyone who isn't Conservatives or Liberals) both portray parts or all of the country as Lost and everything from our economic policy to the wars we wage is centered around not the America we have but the America that Will Be.
