Sea Hitler's water apocalypse
For the cat is cryptic, and close to strange things which men cannot see. He is the soul of antique Aegyptus, and bearer of tales from forgotten cities in Meroe and Ophir. He is the kin of the jungle’s lords, and heir to the secrets of hoary and sinister Africa. The Sphinx is his cousin, and he speaks her language; but he is more ancient than the Sphinx, and remembers that which she hath forgotten.

@hckr @moonman Disney has always been guilty of being absolutely savage with the feelings of watchers, and I have some disagreements with their morality, but for the most part their early stuff was a positive work, both in the message it gave and in the impact it had in the animation industry, and cinema in general as they've been responsible of a few live action superproductions in the mid XX century. This was the case while the creator lived. However by allowing it to continue, it slowly changed from Disney the creator's dream to Disney the corporation. Slowly but surely the values changed in every way, and they became stupidly good at making money, but ended up killing the rest to a great extent, to the point many of us today resent the brand. In the latest part of it's life, the company even subverted it's effect on the industry, becoming one of the most poisonous forces towards creativity by using it's considerable power to strenghten copyri…

@tijagi Leave a few gestapo pretending to be commies in the chaos of Moscow in 1941 and 76 years later you'll have enough influence there to make obscure racist references in parade pamphlets. The führer's master plan.
-
@tijagi It's an old meme but it was still relevant when I was here last.
-
@tijagi But she's n o t a nib sucker!!

-
@hector >TFW slumbering in my coffin during that time and only now learning of it
-
@tijagi You could always suck on the nib
-
@hector It's not surprising. Japan is one of the few important countries with enough strength of character as a whole to tell the authoritarian left "go away", and they're just as bad as understanding western culture as the westerners are at understanding japanese culture. I'm surprised it didn't happen earlier.

Make of that what you will

@hector God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. You know what happened 6 days after april 14? Hitler was born.

The cat book thing paid up when one of my books in the topic was enough to teach everything a neighbor needed to know to raise a kitten.

@hfaust I'd go to one and look at books about cats.
-
@hfaust If you want to actually find things you have to go to one of those HUGE libraries in a capital.
-
@hfaust Used book stores are nice but good books are a minority in any such selection. Last time I went to one I bought a USSR photobook, some 40s dictionaries, and was eyeing a well preserved collection of classical mythology books from the 20s

@miki Good man.

@miki Use your wage slave riches to comission one

@miki You just need a red saber one and a generic male one you pasted a tiny pic of your face to.
-
@miki Time to stage a shift-long play starring your waifu figurines
-
@scribus Does trying to imitate the proper pronunciation on a second language count as cultural appropiation?
