@nlghtmaremoon actually as a former Christian and now atheist I've come to learn that most Christians *that I've met* do not fear God. (think about it why fear someone who cares for you and wants you to join his kingdom right?) However, they fear people. Which makes sense. There are some Christians who believe morals cannot be derived from anywhere except for the bible, there are Christians who fear what extremists from other religions will do to threaten them, and many other examples but in general we all fear anyone who doesn't play by the same rules. I do not - I cannot - blame anyone who thinks this way. It's how religious mandate worked in the dark ages, when the legitimacy of monarchies rested on the powers of the Pope's endorsement.
