If you're willing to put them aside for the sake of reading a few cheap comics, http://www.comixology.com/ allows you to purchase and read the comics online, and sync them (through their smartphone app) to a device for offline reading. You do not, however, "own" the comics, and they can't be accessed outside the reader.
