@northernnarwhal I agree. I hate most fetch quests, even when they try to make it interesting. Like in FFVII, when you go to Yuffie's hometown she steals all your materia and you're forced through this side story. ... wait, that isn't really a fetch quest per se. Well I know the first Diablo game had a ridiculous one where one person in the town sees you found a book and wants this, but then you have to get something else first and something different for another person till it builds this huge chain - but finally at the top of the chain, oneby one each townsperson tells you they managed to do without what they were looking for till you get down to the original person who just gives you the potion you wanted in the first place on principle.
