  1. @xeleanorxrigbyx It tends to mean different things to different people. To paint with extremely broad strokes, furry implies an interest, at some level, in anthropmorphic (or sometimes feral) characters. To some people, furry is a pseudo-lifestyle. They tend to think of themselves AS their characters, and habitually use linguistic substitutions much the same way as the pony fandom. Some of these people are more spiritual about it, with real soul searching going into their fursonas, most aren't though. Some people just find anthros (and yes, ferals) more attractive than conventional human characters either in terms of design or available RP scenarios, or inevitably, more sexually attractive. To some people, it's an interest in what is losely termed "Furry literature" which is all over the webcomics scene and has recently experienced a resurgance with the advent of easily available on-demand publishing, and other people really only hang out for the convention scene.
