Unlike this fandoms fetish for applying its label to everyone, furry is very much an opt in culture. They're very accepting, almost to a fault really. A couple of hours browsing Furaffinity and you'll see the lowest and most disturbing brands of pornography punctuated by charming pictures of couples in love, sweeping visions of sci-fi futures populated by furries, steampunk vistas in alternate worlds. It's like a "proper" culture in that it runs such a wide range of things. Of course all anyone outside the fandom ever sees or wants to talk about is the yiffing.
