    @vcgriffin If you've ever been tackled, like, really actually plowed into by a dude that weighs three hundred pounds, then you know why the have the padding. I played ice hockey when I was thirteen, I was the biggest guy in the whole central Texas league, and I can honestly say that if I didn't have the padding then I would be a vegetable or something.
