I remember back in 2011 over a year before I watched FiM. I saw a clip of the intro and was like.. why do they always have to make the characters all iconic and junk? It reminded me too much of one of the remakes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by which I'd been disappointed, and I thought, oh great, another childhood favorite mangled by poor writing and meh animation.. nice character designs though.. reminds me of PPG. Of course, then I didn't know how mangled MLP had already been by generation 3, and I didn't know that one of the former PPG writers was directing this new version. When I finally sat down and watched the first two episodes I was hooked. #bronyconversion
