@redenchilada The argument is that personal privacy is being infringed, regardless of the purpose. A lot of people feel that is wrong, including myself. How much safer does it really make us, overall, to have every single phone call, Skype convo, message board post, and instant message recorded for easy reference based on the person's name/aliases? Everyone. All the time. Since like 1997 or something.
