  1. @randomkid There once was a company called Nintendo, they pretty much single handedly dug the market out of the video game crash of 1984. They did so by only allowing games they liked to carry the chip they produced which allowed the games to play on their machine. Fast foward to the Wii, the thing sold over 80 million times, leaving the PS3 and the XboX360 in the dirt. Nintendo was still pretty much not giving away easy access to release a game on their console. But Sony and Microsoft evolved their online platforms to include indie developers ( still not really easy, but more accessible than Nintendo ), and yes it was a long and bumpy ride. But inevitably it was the downfall for the next console of Nintendo. Now can you guess what Nintendo's ideology was when making their consoles ?
