It may not excuse the behavior, but you may let it go off with a warning, I wouldn't just abandon a friend over one comment like that, but of course this isn't me, I may be forgiving but not everyone would be, It makes sense to be mad, nothing excuses that behaviour, but do we have to vilify him forever? I mean forever... We can't ever forgive him?
